Maybe not even soft drinks. Can't go back and check now unfortunately.

As long as you'd accept bottled or draught I reckon you'd probably not find anywhere that sold no lager, but perhaps a few like the Wellington.

wee beefyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16922755344809968104noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-87120916463415542.post-54184047387335091882013-04-14T02:28:59.148+01:002013-04-14T02:28:59.148+01:00Not made it there but its on the radar. I've never experienced anything like it (and the bar being located lower than ground level at the top of the cellar steps is possibly unique). I love pubs, but I'm a lager drinker, so generally I'm well catered for. But...how would I feel if I came across a great pub that didn't serve lager? I'd like to think I'd appreciate it as a pub, but would I stay for more than one? Probably not! Off the top of my head, the only place that comes close is The Wellington here in Birmingham - a real ale drinkers paradise, but the only lagers are (from memory) German and, at 5%, not session beers. I've been a couple of times, but wouldn't choose to go there again! (even if it wasn't always packed with 'beardies'!!)PetesQuizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13620433090438752385noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-87120916463415542.post-16787691189122530132013-04-14T00:11:58.057+01:002013-04-14T00:11:58.057+01:00Never been there, but the King's Head at Bootl...Never been there, but the King's Head at Bootle in Cumbria must qualify too.Curmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02558747878308766840noreply@blogger.com
